PLOT

Agata Christian – Murder on the Snow, directed by Eros Puglielli, stars Christian Agata (Christian De Sica), a renowned criminologist with razor-sharp sarcasm and infallible intuition, accustomed to navigating social settings more ostentatious than strictly necessary.
One day he accepts a curious invitation: to spend a weekend in the snow as a guest of the Cullmans, a billionaire dynasty that made its fortune with board games, gathered at their estate in Valle d’Aosta. The occasion is the launch of a new edition of Crime Castle, the game that made the family famous worldwide. Christian is asked to lend his face to the event, turning a simple promotional operation into an elegant mountain getaway, amid ostentatious luxury and underlying tensions that surface with disarming regularity.
But the vacation takes an unexpected turn. When Carlo Cullman, the patriarch and historical mastermind of the company, announces his intention to halt the sale of the business to an aggressive start-up like Shothouse, tensions explode and long-simmering conflicts emerge with increasing force.
The following morning, the man is found dead, shot with a firearm and sprawled over the board of the famous game, his face buried in a cake prepared for the celebratory evening. And as the villa sinks into forced isolation due to an avalanche blocking every escape route, suspicion creeps among the guests, making the atmosphere increasingly claustrophobic and charging every gesture with almost palpable nervousness.
Investigating alongside Agata is Brigadier Gianni Cuozzo (Lillo Petrolo), a small-town police officer sent to the mountains as punishment after an investigation that proved too uncomfortable for those in high places. A devoted fan of the criminologist, Cuozzo seizes the opportunity to make a name for himself, even if his bizarre theories severely test everyone’s patience and complicate the investigation with sudden bursts of enthusiasm.
Amid rivalries, buried truths, and misleading clues, the Cullmans, Agata, and Cuozzo find themselves trapped in an investigation where every move can be fatal, and where everyone has something to hide—even behind a mask of respectability that slowly crumbles under the weight of events.
