The discussion takes its cue from the volume “A Citizen of All Places, a Contemporary of All Ages: The Universality of Gaetano Filangieri’s Thought” (Editoriale Scientifica, 2024), which includes in its appendix the celebrated correspondence between the Campanian philosopher and Benjamin Franklin during the drafting of the U.S. Constitution.
