Walking the trails 2026 – The Madonnina di Buttavento Trail

Starting from the ancient village of Buonopane in the municipality of Barano, we will begin our journey crossing lands and historical buildings dedicated to agriculture and viticulture.
We will reach the Madonna di Buttavento, which, like a ”Redeeming Christ” from above, blesses the entire surrounding area. We will traverse the southern ridge of Mount Epomeo called ”Costa Sparaina,” then entering the forest of oaks and chestnuts in the Cannavale area, where a postcard-worthy view of the Ischia territory will open up: Ischia Ponte with the Aragonese Castle, Monte Vezzi, and the entire Gulf of Naples with Mount Vesuvius.
During this hike, we will have a tasting of typical products at the Cannavale Estate.
