On February 1st, the Town Hall will be illuminated in blue: a symbolic yet powerful gesture, calling for the cessation of bombings on civilians everywhere and reaffirming respect for International Humanitarian Law.
The numbers tell a dramatic reality:
32 wars and 23 crisis situations are ongoing worldwide – the highest number since the end of World War II.
In urban areas, 90% of victims of explosive weapons are civilians.
In 2024 alone, 59,524 civilians were killed by explosive weapons, including 8,370 children.
Casamicciola Terme chooses not to remain indifferent.
Lighting a light means keeping awareness alive, giving a voice to those who have none, and reaffirming, together with institutions across Italy, that the protection of civilians must be an absolute priority.
