Discover Italia presents the book by Mariafelicia Carraturo

On Wednesday, December 17, at 6:00 PM, after already being featured in events across various cities in Italy, The Awakening of Partenope: Light in the Abyss by Mariafelicia Carraturo, published by Discover Italia (Moorings series, 170 pages), will be presented in Ischia at the Biblioteca Comunale Antoniana.
The author will be joined in conversation by the library director Lucia Annicelli, journalist and writer Ciro Cenatiempo, and publisher Anna Parlato.

Mariafelicia Carraturo, whose strong Neapolitan roots play a significant role in her narrative, has made her name in a remarkable sporting achievement: the world record in variable weight freediving with a monofin, accomplished with unwavering determination at nearly forty-eight years of age. This milestone crowns an intense and complex journey—both physically and emotionally demanding—of exploring the depths of the sea, which has progressed alongside a profound path of self-discovery and personal identity development.
